Lobo men’s basketball in top 25 attendance 50 straight seasons

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – When Lobo men’s basketball is in session, fans just keep coming to WisePies Arena AKA The Pit. The Lobos finished ranked 23rd  in the nation in average attendance during the 2015-16 season. That makes 50 straight seasons of attendance in the top 25.

The Lobos played 16 home games last season and averaged 13,030 fans per game. The Mountain West leaders in attendance were nearly 6,000 fans over the league’s average attendance. Head basketball coach Craig Neal believes the Lobos can add to that number.

“We just got to figure out how to get our students more involved, get our students to the game and we are trying to do some things to do that,” said Neal.
