Local restaurant surprises elementary school

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A local burger joint does more for the community than just serve up tasty food.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers prides themselves on serving all-American meals, but they also like to give back.

Sombra Del Monte Elementary School students received quite the surprise when Freddy’s showed up with their famous Frozen Custard.

Director of Marketing, Alfonso Serna, Student, Carson Serna, and Trainer, Selena Chavez, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the surprise delivery while making one of their signature Steakburgers live. Watch above.

Freddy’s is located on the corner of Paseo Del Norte and San Pedro. They are open every day beginning at 10:30 a.m.
