Hundreds of pets find home in special adoption event

Animal Welfare offers special on senior pets

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Hundreds of pets found homes this weekend in a first-of-its-kind adoption event.

“Klear the Kennels” was a joint operation this weekend between Animal Welfare, Animal Humane New Mexico, and the ASPCA.

With the shelters in Albuquerque facing overcrowding problems, the goal was to increase adoptions.

It was a very successful event; Animal humane says 261 animals found homes.
