Toddler injured after hit-and-run

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A toddler was rushed to UNMH after a hit-and-run crash near Old Town.

According to police, the crash happened on Central, west of Rio Grande. APD’s early investigation indicates that a grandmother and a 4-year-old boy child were crossing the street, outside of a crosswalk, when the child was hit by a car.

Investigators late Saturday night were searching for a tan Toyota Corolla or Toyota Camry. They had no license plate information on the suspect vehicle available for release at this time.

Police said the child’s condition has improved.
