ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The start to the holiday weekend will be a quiet one weather wise. Dry air will punch in from the west leading to mostly sunny skies and highs in the 80s. By Sunday moisture will creep into eastern New Mexico fueling scattered afternoon thunderstorms. By Monday more showers will form in the afternoon as these storms will be close to the central mountain chain. By next week increasing moisture from east to west could fuel widespread storms by midweek.
