Lobos and Air Force battle in Mountain West Baseball Tournament

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Mountain West Tournament host Lobos found themselves in a battle Friday night, taking on the Air Force Falcons. The Falcons did not waste any time putting the Lobos in a hole. After two innings the Falcons would lead 4-0.

An Andrew Pratt two run shot in the bottom of the third started a Lobo rally that would eventually lead to a tied game by the 4th inning at 4 runs each. That all changed in the bottom of the sixth when the man affectionately known as, “Girth Quake”, took a solo shot deep into the night. Chris DeVito made it a 5-4 game. The Lobos would add another run before turning away the Falcons in a 6-4 win.

With the victory, the Lobos advanced to the title game to be played at 5pm Saturday.
