City to host hikes for proposed Bosque path

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The city of Albuquerque wants to hear what you think about a new proposed path through the Bosque. The path would be from Campbell Road to Montaño and is designed to avoid sensitive areas in the Bosque as well as protect the environment.

But, if anyone is still concerned about the path’s impact on the Bosque, Parks and Rec is inviting you to take a hike with them.

After the hikes and the input, the city will propose alternative path options.

The hikes are scheduled for the following dates. Please note that you must RSVP if you plan on participating.

Dates of Hikes:
• June 11 (9am-12pm)
• June 18 (9am-12pm)
• June 25 (9am-12pm)

RSVP and Public comments can be sent to: ParksandRecreation@cabq.gov
RSVP phone number: 505-452-5200

Correction: An earlier version of this story said the path would be between I-40 and Campbell Road however the path will be from Campbell Road to Montaño. The story has been corrected to reflect that.
