ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Roswell city councilors have approved a new budget.
According to the Roswell Daily Record, councilors passed a $73 million budget Monday afternoon.
The council also voted Monday night to add $7,500 to the city’s budget to subsidize public swimming at NMMI and another $40,000 to spruce up Main Street.
The new budget is $15 million less than last year’s projected expenditures. Councilors say it’s because of a decrease in operating expenses and capital outlay reductions.
