Man found dead in hotel parking lot identified

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police have identified the man who was found dead in the parking lot of an Albuquerque hotel Saturday.

Officers were sent to a parking lot near Hotel Cascada around 2 a.m. Saturday, where they found a dead man’s body. According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the body was identified as 55-year-old Thomas Mitchell. APD says Mitchell was traveling through Albuquerque at the time of his death.

Police say Mitchell died from injuries he received during a struggle with a guest at the hotel.

At this time police have are not releasing details about the incident because they are still processing evidence.

No charges or arrests have been made.
