ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The wind made conditions at the NCAA Albuquerque Golf Regional tough Tuesday.

Despite the wind, Arizona State maintained their grip on the team lead. They are up an impressive 15 strokes on second place TCU.

The Sundevils are led by top golfer Jon Rahm. Rahm is the only player under par. His four under two round total leads on the individual leader board. As a team, the host Lobos are two tied for sixth and are two strokes off away from the top five.

The top five teams advance to the NCAA Championships. Lobo Andrej Bevins has the best score on his team and sits in a tie for ninth with a two round total of five over par.

The wind caused high scores on Tuesday and was a factor.

“Albuquerque taught me to play in wind. Today was just different because I never played in this much wind in all of my life,” said Lobo Sam Kim. “Albuquerque never blew this hard until today.”

The final round is Wednesday.
