A cold front and storm system will work into New Mexico over the next two days leading to widespread rain and high mountain snow.  As the front blasts through first on Tuesday, the east and central portions of the state will have a chance for showers and the showers will spread to the west by Tuesday afternoon.

The Albuquerque area will mainly get gusty winds and cloud cover as a front moves squeezes through the canyon. The best chance for showers statewide will be Wednesday as the storm system comes in from the west. By Thursday, drier air will start to push the moisture out.
