Local art event donates portions of proceeds to benefit community

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –  A community art event is donating a percentage of its sales to local school’s art program, the volunteer fire company, the senior center and the public library.

It’s the Silver Anniversary for the oldest and largest Studio Tour in New Mexico.

Patty O’Connor, Karla Hackman, and Ed Byers joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the upcoming art show. Watch above.

Over 90 artists in 59 open studios will be set up throughout the Eldorado Community.

Guests can enjoy a preview Gallery at Eldorado Community Center open all weekend. The artists’ reception will be held on Friday, May 13 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The event is open to the public.
