ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque City Councilors will discuss funding for a memorial honoring the West Mesa murder victims.

Seven years ago, the remains of 11 women, one of whom was pregnant were discovered near 118th Street and Dennis Chavez.

KB Home, who owns the land, and the city have promised a memorial for years.

Now, Councilors Klarissa Pena and Ken Sanchez will ask for $350,000 to fund a memorial.
