A storm will work through Montana and Wyoming today. The bottom end of the trough will reach as far south as Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico. This will allow for a few spot showers in these areas this afternoon. However, most of the state will stay dry and warm with a westerly flow in place.
A cold front will cool temperatures back down east of the central mountain chain Thursday. That cool down is short lived as a ridge of high pressure builds in for the weekend. This will warm up the entire state to the warmest readings we’ve seen all season.
