Chris’ Sunday Evening Forecast

The wind will remain strong for the first half of tonight before eventually weakening quite a bit overnight.   Wind Advisories continue for Albuquerque and parts of the Rio Grande Valley until 10 pm tonight for wind gusts up to 45 mph.   The wind out of the east has been killing Albuquerque’s chances of getting rain showers.  But, once the wind weakens later this evening that could allow for some rain to move in late tonight.

Another round of some hit miss rain and mountain snow are possible for Monday afternoon.   A cold front then roll in to the eastern half of the state for Tuesday.   This front could trigger some spot showers for Tuesday afternoon in the east.

Once we get to Wednesday an area of high pressure will build over the region.   This high pressure system will dry us out and warm things back up with more seasonable high temperatures for May!   The wind could return by the end of this week.
