Annual ‘Run for the Zoo’ kicks off

Run for the Zoo

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The 31st annual “Run for the Zoo” takes place Sunday morning.

The race will begin at 7 a.m. at the BioPark. Participants are running to raise funds for the zoo, Botanic Garden, the aquarium and Tingley Beach.

Several roads will be blocked off in southwest Albuquerque Sunday morning during the event from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Drivers should seek an alternative route, especially if traveling around 8th, 10th, 12th, Coal, Lead or Tingley.
