HOBBS, N.M. (KRQE) – Hobbs Police are searching for a man suspected of shooting and killing a victim after a fight Thursday night.

Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East Gypsy Street where they discovered the body of 35-year-old Darrell Griffin who had been shot. Griffin was then transported the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say an argument between Griffin and 25-year-old Joshua Puente led to shots being fired.

Police were unable to locate Puente Thursday night but a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
