Family to host car wash fundraiser after suspected DWI crash

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Four people hit by a suspected drunk driver in Moriarty are out of the hospital.

A family of seven started the drive to Albuquerque last Saturday night after a birthday party in Moriarty.

The Torrance County Sheriff’s deputies say Caesar Chavez was drunk and hit them head-on.

Pablo caldera, his 22-year-old daughter and her 18-month-old daughter died.

Caldera’s wife and children were hospitalized.

On Saturday, the family is hosting a fundraising car wash near Old Town.

The car wash starts at 9 a.m. at Old Town Tire & Automotive and the address 1001 Rio Grande Blvd 87104.
