CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – A Curry County Commission candidate is in trouble again, this time for getting physical with a UPS driver.
KRQE News 13 first reported on Steve Gershon in March when he was charged with unlawfully bringing a gun into a liquor establishment. He claims the state is interpreting the law wrong.
Now, according to the Clovis News Journal, he’s been found guilty of misdemeanor battery for grabbing a female UPS worker, pushing her against a wall, forcibly taking a package from her and then throwing her handheld device to the ground.
The incident happened after Gershon got upset because the package was late.
Gershon will have to pay court costs and if he follows the court’s rules the charge will eventually be dismissed.
