Local Credit Union host financial education workshops

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– With April being Financial Literacy Awareness Month, one local bank is making it easy for the community to be smart with their money.

Nusenda Credit Union, New Mexico’s largest credit union, is set to host 30 workshops to encourage financial education in the state.

Shana Runck, with Nusenda, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to talk about the workshops. Watch above.

Nine of the workshops are open to the general public and will take place in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Socorro. The workshops will be presented in both English and Spanish.

The classes will give financial tips from budgeting daily to weekly expenses, improving credit scores, credit and debt management, making the most of tax returns and more.
