Upcoming festival promotes healthy lifestyle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Earth Day weekend is approaching and one festival is looking to celebrate by promoting healthier lifestyles.

The Red and Green VegFest promotes the ethical, environmental and health benefits of a vegan lifestyle. This isn’t a festival just for the vegans and vegetarians, it’s also for those curious about veg-eating or are looking to taste what’s fresh and new.

Nancy Arenas and Brian Valenzuela joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the festival and perform a dance. Watch above.

Attendees can enjoy listening to speakers, such as Sikora and Corcoran, participate in body movement classes and learn about cruelty free products and services.

The festival will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center on Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
