Motorcyclist killed while riding between side-by-side semis

DEMING, N.M. (AP) – Authorities say a motorcyclist was fatally injured when he lost control of his bike while riding between two tractor-trailer rigs traveling side by side on a southern New Mexico highway.

New Mexico State Police said 22-year-old Jan Portiz of Deming fell to the pavement and was struck by tires of one of the two semis traveling westbound on Interstate 10.
