Olympians for Autism

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque students on the autism spectrum are teaming up with their classmates for a great cause.

Around 130 students from seven different Albuquerque Public schools took part in the “Olympians for Autism” event at Milne Stadium. The event was organized by the Holman Foundation for Autism and is the first ever track meet designed to give students with autism an opportunity to compete with other students.

Officials say this is a great opportunity for kids to better understand one another. The students trained together for six weeks leading up to the event.
