Expert reveals tips on getting car ready for the heat

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – With the warmer months just around the corner, car maintenance is important.

Those looking to hit the road this summer don’t have to take their car to the shop, there are things you can do at home to keep your car moving smoothly.

Taking things in your hands are a bit easier there are only a few things you need to do.

Look at wheels, their tire pressure and lug nuts.  

Also, listening to your car is a good way to know if something is wrong. Does it squeak, or make a uncommon noise? If so, it’s time to take it in for a quick check. While you are there getting your oil and brakes checked can save you a trip later.
