ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s not just cat lovers who will get to snuggle up with their furry friends. New Mexico Pets Alive is opening a Coffee and Canines cafe. It’s the first dog cafe and play space in Albuquerque.
The non-profit hopes by offering a welcoming space for humans and homeless dogs to meet they can raise funds for their no kill animal welfare programs. The new cafe is located on Sierra Drive in Nob Hill.
A cat cafe recently opened up in downtown Albuquerque. It serves as a foster home for the charity Fat Katz and encourages cat adoptions.
