ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Visitors can now see the two new lions at the Albuquerque zoo.

The exhibit had been open to the public sporadically, but it fully opened on Monday.

Kenya and Dixie, the two-and-a-half-year-old siblings, arrived in Albuquerque two weeks ago. They are on loan from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

The lions are already a big hit, as the zoo was filled with visitors on Tuesday.

So far Kenya is already used to his new surroundings. Dixie, however, is a little shy.

The lion habitat has also been renovated, including new play and shade structures and an increased covered living area.
