Albuquerque high schools receive national recognition

High school rankings

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Some Albuquerque high schools ranked nationally as some of the best in the United States.

U.S. News and World Report gave gold medals to Cottonwood Classical Prep and Albuquerque Institute of Math and Science.

La Cueva, Eldorado, Cibola and the Early College Academy got silver medals. Receiving bronze medals were Sandia High, Nex-Gen Academy, and College and Career High School.

The report looked at more than 21,000 high schools across the country and based their results on state tests, graduation rates and how well they prepare students for college.
