Police Investigate Attempted Carjacking

Albuquerque police are investigating a failed carjacking that put one person in the hospital. It happened just before 10 Saturday night, when police got a call about a single car accident at Lomas and Indiana NE. They say when they got there, they found out the car was stolen. Witnesses say a man and woman fled from the wrecked car. As police searched for the suspects, a man told them he had just been stabbed by the male suspect. While police were helping the victim, a woman walked up to the officers and told them someone tried to car-jack her, but she got away unharmed. The man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. No names have been released. Police are still looking for the suspects.

Police Investigate Crash Involving Pedestrian

One person is recovering as police investigate a pedestrian crash in northwest Albuquerque. It happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday near 12th and Mountain. Police say the pedestrian was crossing the street in a non-crosswalk area when he was hit. The victim was taken to UNMH where he’s in critical condition. Police say alcohol was not a factor.

Missing Texas Boy Found in New Mexico

A missing Texas boy has been found safe here in New Mexico. 4-year-old Jordan Lane was allegedly abducted by his mother, Kodi Lane, in September. They were found yesterday in Red River, thanks to an attentive preschool teacher. Melissa Smith had met the boy and thought something was off. Then a relative of her husband, living in Texas, shared Jordan’s missing poster on Facebook.  Smith put the clues together and marshals recovered Jordan on Friday.
