New playground that encourages inclusive play opens

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A brand new playground opened in Albuquerque on Saturday, and it serves a very special purpose.

The “inclusive playground” is located at the Loma Linda Community Center near Gibson and Yale.

The park is designed so that children with special needs can play and interact with other kids in a fun environment.

The playground was funded by the city, county and state. It cost a little more than $300,000. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
