Local church holds event for people to get to know their Muslim neighbors

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE)– An Albuquerque church hosted a panel of Muslim women Sunday in efforts to get people to better know their neighbors.

The free event was titled “Muslim Women Speak”.

Women of differing origins and religious backgrounds discussed their lives and their challenging experiences as Muslims in the U.S.

Presbyterian Church near San Mateo and Montgomery hosted the discussion.

A similar event was held back in January at the University of New Mexico.
