Lobo baseball lengthens their MWC lead

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- The Lobos lengthened their lead in the Mountain West Conference standings, now 14-4 overall, but they also took the series in San Jose against the Spartans. The Lobos lost their first game with San Jose State, but went on to rally winning on Saturday and wining on Sunday 10-3.

The Lobos put on a hitting clinic in California, as they racked up 15 hits with 3 homeruns from Jared Holley, Daulton Bowers, and Carl Stajduhar. This game was close early tied at 2 in the 5th. The Spartans even took a 1 run lead in the 7th, but the rest was all Lobos. They went on to score 8 unanswered runs to get the 10-3 victory.

The Lobos are now 26-11 overall on the season, and they will now face Texas Tech next at home for a 2 game series. The First game will be on Tuesday at 6pm.
