Two dead in multi-vehicle crash near Loving

LOVING, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police released details Saturday about a multi-vehicle crash that killed two men.

Police said that they responded to a crash just after 5:00 a.m. on Friday morning near mile marker 5 on State Road 128, northeast of Loving.

According to police, their initial investigation shows that a westbound vehicle driven by Tyvorrance Sullivan (26) of Odessa, Texas crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by Jonathan Doud (40) of Farmington, New Mexico. A third vehicle driven by Dwayne Arredondo (31) from Orange Grove, Texas was also heading eastbound and rear-ended Doud’s vehicle after the initial impact.

All three vehicles caught on fire.

Sullivan and Doud sustained fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced deceased at the scene. Arredondo was not injured.

Police are still investigating the accident.
