Police search for suspects in stabbing, nearby carjacking

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police are currently investigating a northeast Albuquerque carjacking in connection to a nearby stabbing.

Police got a call on Saturday night about a single car accident at Lomas and Indiana NE. They say when they got there, they found out the car was stolen.

Witnesses say a man and woman fled from the wrecked car.

As police searched for the suspects, a man told them he had just been stabbed by the male suspect. While police were helping the victim, a woman walked up to the officers and told them someone tried to carjack her, but she got away unharmed.

The man who was stabbed was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok.

However, no names have been released as police continue their search for the suspects.

APD is urging residents in the area to call 911 or 242-cops if they see any suspicious activity.
