Man accused of shooting store clerk arrested after 9 months on the run

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)– A man accused of shooting a convenience store clerk was in court Saturday after months on the run.

In July, Albuquerque Police say Rayshai Davis was arguing with his ex’s boyfriend outside of 7-Eleven near San Mateo and Kathryn.

Investigators say Davis fired shots, hitting the man and a store clerk who tried to break up the fight.

Davis was arrested Friday on attempted murder charges.

He’s behind bars on a $500,000 cash or surety bond.
