FRUITLAND, N.M. (KRQE) – Three teens are in big trouble after deputies say they robbed two elderly women Sunday.

Cory Redding, 19, Jacob Sandoval, 18, and Dillon Smith, 18, are all in jail in connection to the Fruitland robbery.

Deputies say the teens broke into Redding’s 81-year-old neighbor’s house and pointed a gun at one of the women, who is wheelchair bound. According to investigators, the teens used an air soft gun that looked like a real one and a metal baton as their weapons.

While one of the teens stayed outside, deputies say the other two demanded money and rummaged through the house. They made off with jewelry and cash which deputies say they found in Redding’s house later on.

The men are all facing charges ranging from armed robbery to tampering with evidence.
