Stand-up apps are now available to help you get more exercise into your daily routine. One of the main contributors to an unhealthy lifestyle is lack of exercise.
Most Americans spend much of their day sitting down. The free apps are designed to get you moving, especially if you have a desk job.
“Stand Up!, Move, and Stand Pro,” said Jennifer Gwennap, Dietician at Nutrition Plus. “What those do is they ding you and remind you to get up and get moving, and they’ll tell you a different activity. Maybe it’s 10 push ups, or 15 jumping jacks.”
The apps help people move throughout the day and have been shown to help people lose weight.
