State Police arrest Oklahoma man suspected of drug trafficking

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – New Mexico State Police have arrested an Oklahoma man on drug charges following a traffic stop.

Police say 46-year-old Billy Wayne Wilson was behaving suspiciously when they pulled him over Wednesday for speeding on I-40 just west of Albuquerque.

Police were able to obtain a search warrant for Wilson’s vehicle and found 13.8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine hidden inside the car.

Wilson has since been released form jail.
