Police: Lanes reopened, Albuquerque burglary suspect arrested

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A commercial burglary suspect is behind bars after the owner of the business walked in on him.

Officers set up a perimeter around a northeast Albuquerque business Friday morning in response to a suspected burglary in progress.

Police say the owner of Dash Saver near Lomas and Arizona called police after finding his business “in shambles,” saying the suspect was still inside.

Westbound Lomas near San Pedro was briefly closed while police set up a perimeter, but has since reopened.

Police say they have taken one unidentified suspect into custody.

They say the perimeter has been broken down, and the incident is currently under investigation.
