ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Nothing seems to stop this crook. Police arrested Majestic Howard again.
This time he’s accused of breaking into a car and taking about $10 in change.
He’s the accused thief who was shot in the head when he was trying to steal a car.
Last month, police say he was in a stolen Hummer with heroin, meth and guns.
The judge gave him a $5,000 cash or surety bond on Friday based on his extensive criminal history.
Howard’s attorney argued that keeping his bond high is unfair.
“This would simply mean that somebody in Mr. Howard’s situation with money, would get out of jail, but because Mr. Howard doesn’t have money, he doesn’t. This does not, this kind of bond does not save our community. It merely keeps people who are poor in jail. Not everybody, is in his situation,” said the attorney.
The judge didn’t agree, even calling the bond minimal.
