Chris’ Friday Afternoon Forecast

Scattered Rain and Thunderstorms will continue this afternoon.   A storm system has brought much needed moisture back to New Mexico after a long, dry stretch of weather allowed the drought to return to parts of the state.   The rain will be scattered so it won’t be raining all the time.   Rain and storms will be pushing from the southwest to the northeast this afternoon in a few rounds.   Scattered Rain chances will continue into early Saturday morning before we clear out for the afternoon.   There could be a few leftover showers across the far north while the rest of the state will see sunshine and warmer temperatures to begin the weekend.   Another storm system approaches from the west on Sunday.  This could trigger more scattered rain showers across far western New Mexico on Sunday afternoon while the wind cranks up for the rest of the state.   Shower chances continue on Monday with breezy to windy condition as a front rolls in from the northeast to begin the week.
