New public on-line school open statewide

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A new public school will be serving students statewide for the 2016-2017 school year.

Pecos Connections Academy, a new public online school, was recently authorized as a charter school by the Carlsbad Municipal School District will serve students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

Virginia Padilla-Vigil, Pecos Academy Connections Academy School Board Member, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the new online school. Watch above.

Pecos Connections Academy will be the first fully online school in the state to open enrollment for students in grades K-3.

Enrollment for the upcoming school year is going on now.

For further information an info session will be held April 5, 6:30 p.m. at Hilton Garden Inn in Albuquerque at 6510 Americas Parkway.
