ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A number of La Cueva High School football players are suspended for what they were doing after football class.
An Albuquerque Public Schools spokesperson told KRQE News 13 this all has to do with an incident before spring break.
A number of players were sparing with boxing gloves after class.
Six of them were suspended for two days. About two dozen more were disciplined for watching and not going to their next class.
An assistant football coach is on administrative leave while the school looks into the matter.
