City of Albuquerque thanks volunteers

Volunteer Appreciation

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque spent Tuesday morning thanking volunteers who have dedicated their time in making the city a better place.

It’s part of the Mayor’s Day of Recognition.

For the last three years elected officials recognize the hard work of those who serve their community. Tuesday Mayor Berry also showed his appreciation.

“Our community is safer because of you. It’s safer because of you and it’s stronger because of you,” said the mayor.

Mayor Berry said Albuquerque was one of the first cities to adopt the initiative.
