Two local organizations want artists for T-shirt contest

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A artwork contest combined with an adoption event will help to support both the local art community and Albuquerque pets.

Animal Humane New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare department is hosting a t-shirt artwork contest.

Desiree Cawley with the Animal Welfare Department and Melissa Hubble with Animal Humane New Mexico joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the contest. Watch above.

The two organizations are calling for artists to submit pet positive artwork for the Klear the Kennels adoption event.

The winner of the contest will be featured on more than 400 t-shirts and brochures, and the winner will also receive attribution on all collateral.

Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 8.

If your artwork is a painting or a drawing, photos or scans of the piece are accepted.
