ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Councilors were interrupted Monday night when a few people in the audience spoke out.

A Native American woman wanted to make a point about the American flag, but was kicked out.

Moments before that a long-time city council protestor, Silvio Dell’Angela, hung an American flag upside-down in the chambers.

Security took it down but Dell’Angela wouldn’t leave until councilors called a break.

They got back to business about 40 minutes later. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
