Albuquerque police ask for help identifying hit-and-run suspects

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police are asking for help in the search for the people wanted in a deadly hit-and-run crash.

Louis Chavez, 26, was killed last Thursday at a gas station near Lomas and Eubank.

Investigators say the driver of a white truck and Chavez got into an argument after the driver asked Chavez for gas money.

A few minutes later, APD says the truck sped up and mowed Chavez down before taking off.

Chavez’s family says they are holding out hope that the suspects will turn themselves in.

APD says there was a woman was in the truck with the driver. They also believe the truck had plumbing supplies in the back.
