ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The fourth teen charged in the murder of a Manzano High School student was arraigned in court Monday.

After Jaydon Chavez-Silver was gunned down at a 2015 house party, police say new evidence led to the arrest of 19-year-old Dominic Conyers in March.

In court Monday, Chavez-Silver’s mother asked the judge to consider GPS monitoring since Conyers has already bonded out of jail. The judge agreed, and also continued Conyer’s bond at $100,000 cash or surety, which he has since posted.

Police do not believe that Jaydon Chavez-Silver was the intended target, but that the shooting was retaliation against others inside the house.

Conyers is the fourth person charged in the murder. Three others are awaiting trial.
