Firefighters spruce up Albuquerque station

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque firefighters spent part of their weekend sprucing up one of their longtime homes.

Fire station number two, near Lead and I-25, isn’t being used right now by AFD but firefighters were out there raking, sweeping and cleaning it up.

The cleanup was spearheaded by Firefighter’s Random Acts which says it was all about keeping up a good image.

Firefighter’s Random Acts says there’s a chance the old fire station could serve as a home for the organization someday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
