New Mexico Tourism Department suggests nearby spring break activities

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Eager to get out of the house with the kids over spring break? The New Mexico Tourism Department has some ideas. They’ve put together a list of road trips and family adventures.

Albuquerque is just a short drive to numerous attractions that can be both fun and education for families. On the list are places like the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Acoma City or even the Taos Pueblo to learn about the state’s Native American culture.

Ski Santa Fe is also offering events for kids.

“Exploring our New Mexico State Parks and museums and cultural sites here in the state are wonderful opportunities for your kids to learn and vacation at the same time,” said New Mexico Tourism¬†spokesperson,¬†Rebecca Latham.

Latham also suggests a trip up to Santa Fe for its great food and art, Abiquiu to explore the Lavender Farm or Ojo Caliente for some rest and relaxation.
