ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – One of two women, accused of helping two inmates escape, made her first court appearance on Monday.

Patricia Petrushkin, 51, was arrested earlier this month in Texas.

Police say she let Joseph Cruz and Lionel Clah stay in her Albuquerque hotel and then gave them money and clothes.

Cruz, a convicted killer, was serving a life sentence and Clah was serving 30 years for a 2007 police shooting in San Juan County.

On Monday, the judge lowered Petrushkin’s bond from $20,000 to $1,000 cash or surety.
